Development Coordinator

Responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing IDC's fundraising efforts in the areas of membership, individual (annual) giving, corporate, foundation and government grants, special events and projects including capital campaigns, as directed by the Chief Operations Officer.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or related field; or acceptable equivalent.
1+ years of experience working in membership, fundraising or sales. Non-profit experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage budgets.
Good computer skills.

Responsibilities

Work with department heads and COO to develop and implement annual fundraising plan
Foster community outreach via engagement in community groups, collaborations and the media
Maintain IDC membership records and send out annual renewal notices.
Manage grant and contract reporting requirements
Work with COO to manage annual and special campaigns
Maintain donor database
Be the collection point for departmental grant and foundation applications and communicate with departments to ensure that deadlines are known and met.
Work with visitor services coordinator to ensure that special event and membership-only events get posted in a timely fashion.

Working conditions:

General office environment.
Both weekday and weekend hours required, some evenings
